2011 North Louisiana Travel Outlook Conference

In August of each year the Shreveport-Bossier Convention & Tourist Bureau hosts the Travel Outlook Conference to benefit our hospitality industry as well as our local community.  The purpose is to report the national and local trends in tourism and hospitality and to provide insight to help our partners grow their businesses.

This year we are proud to have General Russel Honoré as our keynote speaker. General Honoré led Task Force Katrina in the aftermath of the devastating hurricanes that struck the Gulf Coast in the summer of 2005. General Honoré is currently a Senior Scientist with The Gallup Organization, where he is working on developing questions to determine levels of preparedness, and a CNN Preparedness Contributor.

Also on the agenda is Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne who is responsible for the Louisiana Office of Tourism. He will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. The lieutenant governor is known for his enthusiastic presentations, so this is something you don't want to miss.

There are a number of other speakers on our panel which report on all subjects of interest; Airport Authority, Film Commissioner, State Casino Official, Oil & Gas Representative, and a member of our state Tourism office.
